Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Toasted chestnut wood
Nose: Leads with warm baking
spices (clove, cardamon, soft
cinnamon), apple strudel dusted
with icing sugar, strawberry jam,
clotted cream, candied almonds,
and even fresh leather around the
edges
Palate: Baking spices again lead
the way on the palate (the
cinnamon is a little spicier this
time), return of the strawberry
jam accompanied with a little
pepper heat, toasted hazelnuts
present themselves mid-palate
then a cocoa powder dryness as it
transitions towards the finish
Finish: Pleasantly drying with
lingering dark chocolate, dried
cherries, and toasted walnuts
